The short version is that there was no direct answer to your question, but we found that there were 42.15 million UK residents who traveled abroad for the holidays in 2015 with total spending of £26.26 million.

METHODOLOGY
To answer your query my colleague and I looked for official statistics about UK travelers going to holidays and festivals in Europe. We also looked for industry research about millennial travelers and festivals. Though we found solid data about the number of UK travelers going to holidays/festivals as well as the number of UK millennials who traveled Europe in 2015, I found no dataset calculating the exact number of UK millennials who traveled Europe for the express purpose of attending a festival. I also found no accurate percentage to apply to the number of UK holiday international travelers to determine how many of them were millennials. However, we found a report which may contain this demographic information behind its paywall. Please read on to see the results.

According to the dataset Travel and Tourism from the UK Office for National Statistics, there were 42,150,000 UK residents who traveled abroad for the holidays in 2015. According to Festicket, more people are classifying festivals as holidays with 60% from UK believing this to be true. These travelers had a total spending of £26,266,000 in 2015.
Also, in the dataset UK Residents Visit Abroad, the national Office reported that 5,079,000 UK millennials aged 16 to 24 years old visited Europe with total spending of £2,062,000 in 2015. There were also 10,490,000 UK millennials aged 25 to 34 years old who visited Europe with total spending of £4,232,000.
In the latest release Overseas Travel and Tourism: Nov 2016, the national Office reports that visits to Europe rose by 4% from November 2015 to November 2016. Interestingly, the number of holidays visits decreased 1%.

Festival travel specialist Festicket reported that Croatia is the most popular festival destination among UK festival goers. 20% of UK festival goers went to Croatia to attend a festival. Another 19% went to Germany while 12% went to the Netherlands to attend festivals. The company's findings were based on a survey conducted among 2,700 global festival goers and the 80 festivals available on its website.
WYSE MILLENNIAL TRAVELLER SURVEY
According to the World Youth Student and Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation's Festivals and Millennial Traveller report, 30% of festivalgoers spent EUR 100 – EUR 200 on a festival while 21% spent EUR 200 – EUR 500. The peak age group for spending on a festival was 26 to 29 years old with an average spend of EUR 231. The full report is available to WYSE members or for purchase for non-members.
