Research Strategy

To carry out this research, the research team searched for pre-compiled lists of drone companies that offer services using drones or for operational use. This search method proved fruitful because we were able to identify a compiled list by Droneii.com, the top 20 companies that offer drone services for the year 2018 and 2019, respectively. We then moved to review the companies, making sure they met the required criteria. Two companies were identified through this process Hemav and Verity Studios.
The research team searched through databases like Crunchbase. We were able to filter our search to drone companies in Europe. We then searched through the pre-compiled list to identify companies that met the required criteria. One company was recognized, Flock Drone Art. According to Crunchbase, the average founded date for companies on its list is Nov 2010. We also searched through reputable news sites, industry publications, and news articles for information on the drone industry. Through this method, we identified two companies, Gamaya.

Four companies were identified through this process, Sky-Futures, Martek Aviation, Texo Drone Services, and Team UAV.
We also searched through industry publications, news articles, and reputable news sites for reports on the drone industry. Through this method, we identified another company that used drones in its operations, Balfour Beatty.
