Dairy Product Contests

Two food-related organizations that might be looking to start a "contest" to develop new fluid milk products using California Milk include the Lincoln University George Washington Carver Research Farm and The World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest, held at Madison Area Technical College’s Truax Campus. Despite extensive research, we were unable to discover additional organizations which meet all the requested parameters.

Lincoln University George Washington Carver Research Farm

  • Lincoln University George Washington Carver Research Farm is a research farm located at the Lincoln University in Washington, DC, which is focused on dairy milk development.
  • The research farm often hosts student contests and is open to receiving donations for projects regarding developing new dairy products, specifically when it comes to fluid dairy milk.
  • In 2016, the Farm hosted a 4-H practice judging contest that attracted more than 1,000 participants.
  • The reason we chose this organization is the fact that the university and the farm are open to hosting competitions and accepting donations. Additionally, the university is focused on developing new products by working with scholars.

Madison Area Technical College’s Truax Campus

  • The World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest at Madison Area Technical College’s Truax Campus is one of the biggest dairy-focused events in the U.S.
  • In 2018, the dairy contest drew over 1,200 entries from around the U.S.
  • The competitions are usually directed by The Wisconsin Dairy Products Association (WDPA), which also is the point organization for The World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest.
  • The reason we chose this campus is the fact that the campus and the expo are open to hosting competitions and accepting donations. Additionally, the expo is focused on finding ways to bring in new products to the expo.
