What are the current fleet sizes for the Canadian airline industry and any additional information on how many new planes the airlines order each year (or replacement cycle). Total number of planes in service per airline is fine (even better if there's info the types of aircraft in service per airline)
Hi! Thanks for your question about the fleet sizes of Canadian airlines and their composition. I found fleet information on 20 airlines, which should include all of the major players in Canada's airline market; I've added that information to this spreadsheet. Read on for a few additional notes!
OVERVIEW
I found a list of Canadian airlines with fleet size information here, then corroborated that list with information from Plane Spotters for each airline. Where the figures differ between sources (as they do for Bombardier and a few others), I use the Plane Spotters number for fleet size, as they seem to update fairly regularly. Plane Spotter also provides a list of the planes in operation at each airline and gives some information on their historic replacement cycle. If this list isn't extensive enough, additional information should be easy to find.
CONCLUSION
I've compiled fleet information on 15 leading Canadian airlines in this spreadsheet, with help from Plane Spotters and some airline annual reports. If you need more airlines, please feel free to submit another request.
Thanks for using Wonder!
