CRM Landscape- Hubspot & SalesForce

The requested information on HubSpot and Salesforce has been entered into the project spreadsheet as requested. Below is an outline of our research strategy, including links to our most informative sources.

RESEARCH STRATEGY

When comparing different products, it is exceedingly helpful to get as much information from the same source as possible, maximizing the probability of doing a true apples-to-apples comparison. Therefore, we turned to PC Magazine, which very recently published reviews of the top CRM platforms. Notably, SharpSpring did not make the cut. These reviews provided an overview of each platform and expert opinions on their pros and cons. Since the reviews contain far more information than was within the scope of this request, we highly advise reading each in it totality:

From there, we checked for relevant apps in the Google Play and Apple stores. Next, we pulled data on each company's uptime, whether from the company's own incident trackers or from a third-party (where available). In the case of Pipedrive, their status page displayed incidents and the downtime for each over the last 30 days, but not the uptime percentage. Therefore, we totaled the minutes of downtime (154) and divided them by the number of minutes in a 30-day period (30 x 24 x 60 = 43,200), giving us 0.36% downtime, or 99.64% uptime. We were unable to determine the uptime of the apps, as none of the companies provided the historical data that we would need to do so.

Since SharpSpring has not yet been the subject of a PC Mag review, we took our insights from two other reviews. The first was short on details, but had the advantage of directly comparing SharpSpring to HubSpot, providing us with some better perspective on their relative merits. The second provided most of the technical details.
