Country profiles for Guyana, Barbados, St. Lucia, and Grenada have been completed to analyze average salaries, cell subscriptions, motor vehicle registrations, top industries, insurance penetration, and home ownership.
- The spreadsheet may be viewed here.
- The majority of information was located through census and government reporting. It is of note, that many of the statistics obtained were based on census figures from the latest census which is ten years old. Government reporting for these countries was not as robust as other countries with many of their latest statics dating from 2014 or later.
- Housing ownership and insurance penetration was extremely difficult to locate for Guyana and St. Lucia. Guyana reports on the number of dwelling units and provides poverty related statistics when they reference housing. These numbers have been provided.
- St. Lucia only shares the number of rental units and the number of housing units. Given that 18.5% of the units in St. Lucia are private rentals, one could assume that 81.5% are owner occupied, but this would not take into account how they count or define government supported housing.
