Who are the competitors of mlg game battles 2018
MLG Gamebattles is the largest cross platform online gaming tournament system with over 10 million registered users. Gamers participate in MLG Pro Circuit events featuring over 40 game titles in multiple gaming platforms.
Despite best efforts, there is no publicly published list of expected or confirmed 2018 players. We checked the competition's official webpage, social media pages and other relevant sources to search for listed 2018 competitors. As such, we made the assumption that current leaders will compete again next year given their high rankings. Therefore, we have compiled a list of the current Top 10 MLG Gamebattles point leaders.
SUMMARY
All MLG players are ranked using the ELO ranking system. Points are calculated based off of skill levels of competitors in the different arenas. These points are then totaled from all arenas to give a global ranking. The general gaming population has a large gap between male and female players with 64% being male. First person shooter games such as Call of Duty, DOTA and Counterstrike have the largest share of male players at 70%. This trend is changing with more female players entering the scene.
The average age bracket is 24-27. Call of Duty has the oldest bracket between 26-27. DOTA has the youngest age demographic between 24-25.

There are over 40 game titles in multiple formats represented in MLG Battlegames with different tournaments, events and leaderboards for each. Additional research could outline top gamers and competitor types for each title, format or event.
