QUESTIONS

  • This user asked if "Tide accounts can accept payments from Stripe".
  • This user asked if he can set up another business account by using the same phone number.
  • A customer not based in UK wanted to know if he can set up a business account.
  • A customer wanted to know if he can use the account "to pay corporation taxes to HMRC".
  • This user wanted to know if Tide allows a "joint account for limited companies & partnerships".
  • This user wanted to know when will cash payments at a post office or a bank be available.
  • This user asked if her accountant can get read-only access to her account.

SUGGESTIONS

  • This user suggested recurring invoices and the "ability to customize the invoice reference" as features that would be useful.
  • A user said that he would like to see some more information when completing foreign currency transactions including: 1. "it’s a foreign currency transaction", 2. "the original (currency) amount" and 3. "the exchange rate (estimated, if still in progress)"
  • A user suggested adding wireless payment services as a feature.
  • This user suggested that "Tide make an arrangement with a mainstream bank to take OTC cheques directly into a Tide account".
  • This user said that it would be good to be able to put money away from an invoice payment in order to pay bills later.

COMPLAINTS

  • A user said that payments take more than an hour to complete.
  • This user said that Tide doesn't have some basic features such as team member cards for self-employed and standing order facilities.
  • This user couldn't change banking details about an existing recipient and also said he is not getting a "simple banking experience" and that he is no longer recommending Tide to anyone.
  • This user said that he didn't receive a retrieval code when he tried to reset his password and also that the response to emails is slow.
  • A user said that not being able to switch from sole trader to a limited company account is very frustrating.
  • This user said that his account was temporarily suspended without notice and also that his direct debit was declined.
