Competitive Landscape - United We Dream

Three national networks that work with immigrant and undocumented youth, similar to United We Dream, are Immigrant Youth Coalition, National Immigrant Youth Alliance, and Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights. The complete findings are presented below and in the attached spreadsheet.

There are three other national organizations that are similar to United We Dream, and they all work with immigrant and undocumented youth. Two youth-led national immigrant networks similar to United We Dream are, Immigrant Youth Coalition and the National Immigrant Youth Alliance. The third national immigrant network, Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights, is not youth-led, and it focuses on immigrant children.

After an extensive search of official social media channels, press releases and credible media sources, there was no information on examples of successful digital or online fundraising. However, donors can make donations through their websites and/or official Facebook pages. Also, only United We Dream provides the number of its members and number of people reached. A comparison of the number of likes on their official Facebook channels show that United We Dream also has the largest number of 146,744 likes.

Their work covers four key areas: obtaining protections for immigrants, opposing deportations, access to education for immigrants, and justice and freedom for LGBTQ immigrants."

The Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights

Overview of Programs Offered: The Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights promotes the best interests of unaccompanied immigrant children with respect to state and federal law and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The Young Center plays the role of a guardian “ad litem(Child Advocate) for individual unaccompanied children. The Young Center also engages in policy advocacy at the national and local levels to push for a change in the law to mandate decision makers to consider the best interests in all cases concerning immigrant children.
