In order to find the valuation of the companies, we searched the company websites and media sources such as Tech Crunch, ZDNet, Fortune, Forbes, Inside, Follow News, and Venture Beat for any source-based information, estimates, or announcements pertaining to the valuation of the companies. While we were able to find such metrics for larger and older companies in the space, we did not find any valuation-related information specific to Exceed.ai, SalesWhale, and SendSmart. For example, we found that Conversica (a competitor) raised $31 million of growth capital and is valued at $300 million. Next, we searched for estimates of the valuation on startup and business databases such as Dealroom, Pitchbook, Crunchbase, AngelList, CB Insights, and StartupXplore. However, we were only able to find the valuation estimates of SalesWhale on Dealroom. The valuation estimates of Exceed.ai and SendSmart were not provided. Our third strategy was to search the websites of the main investors and SEC filings of the lead response tool companies for any information pertaining to valuations. However, this strategy did not result in any success either. None of the investors have disclosed the valuations at which they invested. Based on our research, we believe this information is not publicly available for both companies. G2 does not have a page for SendSmart.
