  • According to 4RF USA's LinkedIn page, the company has between 11 and 50 employees. As the only website for the U.S. company was a page on the parent company's website, we were not able to get more specific with the number of employees.
  • Dun & Bradstreet estimates the company has 10 employees, there are 3 employees on LinkedIn with connections to 4RF, and there are 12 employees who work for the parent company, 4RF, but are located in the U.S. This shows the variety of data that was found related to the number of employees.

Sales Revenue

  • As a private company, 4RF is not required to disclose revenue, and the only information found was an estimate provided by Dun & Bradstreet. This estimate of $282,895 has been provided.

Number of Facilities

  • According to 4RF USA's LinkedIn page, the company has a single location in the U.S.
  • Although we did find mention of other addresses for the company in the U.S., such as this one in Oregon, and this one in Centennial, CO, it was determined that those addresses were for primary contacts and the registered agent of the company, not other facilities.

Type of Facility

  • Although we could not find any information on the company's U.S. facility that would explain exactly what is done there, the parent company website did state that some manufacturing took place in the U.S.

Area of Facilities

  • Research indicated that the building where 4RF USA is located is a multi-use building, as several businesses were found to be located at the address, including apartments, a coworking space, and a tavern.
  • While we were able to determine that the coworking space utilized 55,000 square feet of space, this information was not helpful in determining the overall size of the building, or what portion is used by 4RF.

Research Strategy

First, our research team began by extracting information from the company's official website, but we could not find any mention of the size of the company's facilities. As a result, we reviewed case studies from 4RF and real estate sales records such as Realtor, but the research team could still not identify the square footage of 4RF's facilities. We concluded that this information is not readily available in the public domain since 4RF is a privately-held company.

Lastly, the revenue generated during the fourth quarter of 2020 was assumed to be the most recent sales revenue.

Camlin Technologies

Information on the Camlin Technologies Group was very limited as the company is private and some sources found were contradictory. Information found has been provided below, as well as in the project spreadsheet.
  • Camlin Technologies Group was founded in 2008 and has between 251 - 400 employees.
  • Total revenue for the company is estimated between $30.1 million (£25 million) $52.40 million. Actual revenue is not available as the company is a private company.
  • The company operates out of 18 locations with the headquarters being located in Northern Ireland.
  • The facility types include office, sales, manufacturing and R&D.
  • The research team was only able to find one mention of the square footage of Camlin Technologies Group locations, that of the China office which is 6,000 square feet. This was after reviewing past press releases from Camlin Technologies Group to see if they included other "office opening" announcements featuring the square footage of other offices, as well as attempting to review real estate sales records (from sites such as Realtor.com and EuropeanProperty.com) to see if the buildings featuring Camlin Technologies offices had recently been sold and thus listed the square footage. However, these attempts did not yield any further insights into the square footage of other Camlin Technologies Group spaces. Therefore, the research team utilized the 6,000 square foot number and assumed that the square footage for all Camlin Technologies Group locations would be similar. Therefore, we multiplied 6,000 by 18 (the total number of locations) to reach 108,000 total square feet.

Summary

  • According to its official LinkedIn profile, Rugged Monitoring, an electronic/electrical manufacturing company, was founded in the year 2018. The company headquarters is located at 1415 Frank-Carrel Ste. 230, Quebec, G1N 4N7, Canada.
  • As listed by ZoomInfo, Rugged Monitoring's estimated annual revenue amounts to around $7 million. It is a privately held business, so it is not obligated to release its financial details to the public, hence the lack of publicly available information directly provided by the company on its revenue.
  • Rugged Monitoring has a global presence, offering its products to more than 200 nations and territories around the world, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, Australia, Germany, and China.
  • A study of its official website and Google images indicates that the company only has two facilities, its manufacturing facility and headquarters (office), which appear to reside in the same location.

Research Strategy:

Much of the requested information on Rugged Monitoring was not readily available in the public domain. Our research began by exploring the company's official website and blog, where we found the location of its headquarters and the countries and territories it services. However, there was no information on its facilities, revenue, founding date, employee count, etc.

Next, we searched for its annual, financial, and company reports. These types of reports typically contain background information and revenue details for a business, which is why we explored this particular research path. Nonetheless, this research strategy did not yield the results we were seeking. None of the reports were available either through the company website or third-party site.

We then consulted third-party databases that compile company profiles, as they tend to offer estimates for employee counts and revenues, along with other useful information. These sources included ZoomInfo, Owler, Crunchbase, and Dun & Bradstreet (DNB), among others. This research strategy worked to an extent, as we were able to find the estimated number of employees and estimated revenue on ZoomInfo. Also, we discovered that Rugged Monitoring operates as a privately-held company, which helps to explain the lack of direct information on its actual revenue and other data points.

Afterward, we searched through its social media handles, including on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, among others, to see if it mentions its facilities, the size of its facilities, founding date, etc. While we found its founding date on LinkedIn, there was no discussion of its facilities on any of its social media handles.

Finally, we attempted to triangulate the missing information using any available data points. We searched through the company website and Google images and were able to determine that it operates at least two facilities (manufacturing, headquarters/office) that are situated at the same location. However, we could not find any relevant data points to help us identify the size of its facilities.

A probable reason for the lack of information could be contributed to the fact that it is not only a private entity, but that it was only recently established as a company in 2018.
