What companies in the EU specialize in HR requirements for local countries?
Thanks for your request for companies in the EU that specialize in HR requirements for local countries. The short version is that RSM, Alcott and Eurodev offer HR services that include advising on statutory and regulatory requirements, demonstrate expertise in the local HR landscape and have offices in the EU. METHODOLOGY
I searched through corporate websites in order to review the service offerings of EU-based companies and prioritized those that showed evidence of knowledge of the local HR landscape.
FINDINGS
RSM offer tax, audit and advisory services which include HR advisory. Their UK staff hold qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and have HR "expertise across a variety of sectors within the UK and Europe" Their core HR services are broken down into four categories, compliance being one of the four. They claim that their “comprehensive HR toolkit” in combination with their expert advice will aid in ensuring that the HR function complies with both health and safety regulations and employment law. RSM have a strong presence across the EU with representation in the following countries: Andorra, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Channel Islands, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Isle of Man, Italy, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of Ireland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Malta and the UK. They claim to “understand that Europe isn’t one region” and have the local knowledge that “can help you navigate the risks involved in the varying currencies, jurisdictions and legislation across different countries”. RSM demonstrate their expertise in advisory and compliance with their “Ideas and Insights” section of their corporate website. This includes blog posts on topics such as “EU toughens stance on middle size enterprises”, which looks at country-by-country tax reporting requirements, and sections focused on Brexit, global case studies, special reports and corporate literature that demonstrates their global expertise.
Alcott offers professional employer organization (PEO) services, which help clients to understand and comply with human resources law and business practices with their “team of experienced European professionals” ensuring regulatory compliance. Compliance is one of the services specified amongst the “full range of human resources outsourcing and back-office services [offered] throughout Europe” along with "recruiting, employment, human resource management and administration, insurance and benefits, payroll, onboarding services and permits". Alcott has a broad reach across the EU and the European countries serviced by Alcott are as follows: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, the Republic of Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Malta and the UK. They have a resources section to their website that includes white papers and webinars demonstrating their expertise in European HR consulting, such as the article “Help Wanted: How To Hire In Europe” which provides useful tips from an HR perspective.
As well as PEO services, Eurodev provides HR consulting services that include administrative services, HR management and legal, taxation and compliance consulting. They are able to help clients who are looking to expand into Europe or who “[n]eed practical support to help them operate in local European markets”, and have offices in the Netherlands and France. Eurodev's blog includes a selection of white papers on topics such as “European Cross-Border M&A” and “How to Manage or Acquire Employees in Europe from the USA”, which demonstrate their in-depth knowledge in the region.
