Top 10 Largest Companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth by The Number of Total Employees Worldwide
We have compiled a list of the ten largest global employers headquartered in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The largest employer is AT&T with 252,000 employees across the globe. The companies were selected as the top ten based on employees listed on their most recent SEC filing. This was compared to the 150 largest companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area by revenue.

AT&T has implemented continuing education classes and training to help baby boomers modernize their skills. The company pays for some courses but they must be taken "off the clock."
2. Tenet Healthcare Corp.

Similar to AT&T, Tenet Healthcare has implemented classes and training to help baby boomers keep current on their skills. We were unsucusful in finding information about whether these classes are company sponsored.
3. American Airlines

American Airlines has recently started offering monetary incentives to obtain new employees and retain long term employees. This has come as a result of their aging workforce and rising demand for flights.

Although we could not find much information on employee benefits, we did identify their approach to employee engagement is through a commitment to training and skill development.

Southwest Airlines incorporates employee engagement along with wellness in their Work Perks program. Employees are awarded for preventative care and other health and wellness benefits.
8. Brinker International Inc.

Brinker International describes their employee engagement policies as focusing on social interactions, community, financial concerns, physical health and career advancement. They focus on this to maintain a successful workforce through employee engagement.
9. Kimberly-Clark
Although the most recent survey taken among Kimberly-Clark employees was in 2013, the results indicated that 13% of their employees describe the company as lacking in support for their aging workforce. We did find a wellness program that Kimberly-Clark offers its employees surrounding physical fitness.
10. Texas Instruments

Texas instruments offers a variety of programs to support employee engagement and employee wellness. Their health and wellness programs include occupational health, preventative health, fitness, nutrition, counseling and HIV treatment.
Conclusion
The largest global employer that is headquartered in the Dallas/Fort Worth area is AT&T. The second largest is Tenet Healthcare Corp followed by American Airlines. The other top companies are JC Penny, ExxonMobil, Brinker International, Southwest Airlines, Kimberly-Clark, Texas Instruments and Flour Corp.
