Hello, and thanks for your question asking for a list of competitors to Jumping Bean within around a 7km radius of Metrotown Shopping Mall in Burnaby, BC. I have found that there are very few children's play businesses in this area that are not day care centers. I total I found 3 to suit your criteria, plus extra examples that fit some of your criteria. OVERVIEW
In order to answer your question I followed several lines of inquiry. I first searched Google Maps in the area around Metrotown Shopping Mall in Burnaby, BC for children's play places and activity centers. I then also conducted a thorough search engine search, and also used sources such as these lists (here, here, and here) that provide a list of indoor play places in the area. Next, I selected those that were no further than 7km from the mall, and were not counted as daycare/child care centers. I added appropriate businesses into this spreadsheet, along with their name, website, address, contact details and distance from the mall.
After a thorough search I found that Burnaby actually has very few businesses that are kids activity centers/play areas similar to Jumping Bean. I was able to find numerous places like this in Vancouver, but they were located much further outside of the 7km radius.
This source actually shows us that in Burnaby specifically there is a lack of indoor kids activity centers.
In order to give you as much information I also looked at this map of play areas in Burnaby. Given the lack of companies to include in the list I have added some of these at the end, although they do not 100% match the requirements of being a place "where parents spend disposable income on leisure and fun for their kids" due to the fact that mostly they are free. However, it gives an idea of places where parents and carers may be taking their kids.
CONCLUSION
Overall, I have found that Circus, Edmunds Community Centre and Burnaby Central Railway are businesses that lie within 7km of Metrotown Shopping Mall in Burnaby, that provide a children's play place.
