How do we change the owner of our Facebook Ads account?

Adding or removing an Ads Manager can be done by following a sequence of steps. In short, to add, or remove an Ads Manager, you navigate to your business manager account, and a click the drop-down menu and select Business Manager Settings, from there, click on Ads Account. From there you can add, or remove an Ads Manager. We will go into further detail of the process in the following paragraphs.


In the business manager account display, there is a drop-down menu, with the following options.

- Ads Manager
- Billing & Payment Methods
-Business Manager Settings
- Audiences

Within these selections, you want to select Business Manager Settings. After selecting this option, you will be given more options to adjust your Ads Manager privilege options. Click here to see a screenshot of an example.

Step 2. SELECT ADS ACCOUNT FROM THE DROP BOX SELECTIONS

Once you have selected Business Manager Settings, the next step is to select Ads Account. Once you are done selecting Ads Account you will have greater access to the Ads Manager's roles within the Business Manager Settings. Click here to see a screenshot of an example.

Step 3. REMOVE UNDESIRED ADS MANAGERS ROLE, AND ADD NEW ROLE TO THE NEW DESIRED ADS MANAGER.

After selecting Ads Account from the drop box selection, you will be given the option to remove an Ads Account Manager, as well the option to add a new Ads Account Manager. There will be two options listed, "Ad Account Advertiser" and "Ad Account Admin". Ad Account Admin is the Ad's Account Manager. Click here to see a screenshot of an example.

Step 4. HAVE THE NEW ADS ACCOUNT MANAGER CLAIM THE ROLE OF AD MANAGER

The next step in the process is to have the new Ads Account Manager accept the new role of Ad Account Admin. You can do this by having the new potential Ads Account Manager log on their Facebook Business Manager Account. Click on add new ads account. From there the new Ads Account Manager will be able to claim the role of Ad Account Admin. Click here to see a screenshot of an example.

Step 5. INPUT A AD ACCOUNT ID AND CONFIRM THE CHANGE OF THE ROLE

The final step is to input an ad account ID number. A description of the new role responsibilities will display above the input account ID number input box. CONCLUSION

The process of changing an Ads Account Manager is completed by following a system of steps within the business manager account. By selecting the business manager account dropbox, you are given a selection of choices, select Business Manager Settings, from there select Ads Account. After that, you can add or remove an Ads Manager. When that's done, have your new potential Ads Manager claim the role of Ad Admin. They will input their account ID number in the input box, and you will have successfully changed the role of your ad's manager account.
