Succulent subscription boxes have an estimated price range of $5 to $50 per month in the US. Details about the costs across different retail channels in this country are provided in the attached spreadsheet.
Key Findings
- Cratejoy offers succulent subscription boxes at an average price of $23.26 per month.
- The Succulent Source offers subscription boxes at a fixed price of $30 per month.
- The HomeDepot offers succulents at an average price of $27.84 per piece.
- Plants.com's average succulent/cactus price per piece is $44.44.
Research Strategy
All average prices were calculated by adding all available prices and dividing the result by the number of total products. We only focused on small products with an estimated size of 3" to 5".
We were unable to provide a second example for general subscription box companies, as the ones available are mostly directories of different subscription box companies/products available (e.g. My Subscription Addiction, The Subscription Box, and A Year of Boxes). And, most of the companies that develop boxes only provide them for specific categories (e.g. plants, beauty, crafts, pets, etc.). We included Cratejoy as a general subscription box company because the site is responsible for charging customers the subscription to different box products, unlike Hello Subscription, for example, which directs the customer to third-party websites like Cratejoy.
