Build me a list of companies making western apparel in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.

Overview

Hello, and thank you for your request regarding key manufacturers of western apparel in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

In short, there appear to be far more retailers and wholesalers of western apparel than there are manufacturers in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Some of the 14 manufacturers we did identify tend to focus on custom products (e.g., custom-made western hats or cowboy boots), and/or tend to be smaller companies that want to have control over their own manufacturing processes in producing their niche products. Since we realize you are mainly interested in mid-sized companies, we tried to focus on the mid-size category as much as possible rather than on custom manufacturing or "Mom & Pop" establishments.

METHODOLOGY

Since there is no definitive source for key manufacturers of this niche type of apparel--and western wear, in fact, overlaps several categories such as outerwear, shirts, pants, boots, etc.--I investigated a variety of major retailers of western, cowboy or rodeo-type apparel to identify key brands that tend to be represented in that market. Those brands include a variety of boot, hat and other related apparel items.

I then plugged company and brand names into directory sources (e.g., Hoover's, ThomasNet, Kompass, Owler, Manta and others) to focus specifically on manufacturers (rather than retailers) located in Arizona, New Mexico or Texas, and then weeded out most of those that appeared to be very small (e.g., "Mom & Pop) establishments. I also looked at the main competitors of the manufacturers I had identified to determine if any of those competitors were also operating in AZ, NM or TX.

In addition, I investigated Google Maps for western apparel entities in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas--but for the most part, only retail and wholesale establishments were identified.

My findings are reported below, and in the attached spreadsheet.

FINDINGS

There are far more retailers/wholesalers of western apparel, clothing, boots, hats and other related items than there are manufacturers -- so I only found only 14 entities that fit your criteria.

There also appear to be several small custom manufacturers in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas--but at your request, I did not focus on those, although I did include a couple of them to show you examples of the type of manufacturing activity in this region. If you'd like us to explore the custom manufacturing category in greater detail, just let us know.

CONCLUSIONS

In conclusion, we found only 14 entities engaged in the manufacture of western wear/apparel and related items in Arizona, New Mexico or Texas. Most of the identified manufacturers are in Texas. Our findings are reflected in the attached spreadsheet.

I hope you found this list helpful. Thank you for using Wonder's research services. If you would like further research on this or any other topic (e.g., a closer look at smaller and/or custom manufacturers), please don't hesitate to reach out to us any time!
