Blockchain Platforms / Smart Contracts

The attached spreadsheet contains an overview of Ethereum, NEO, Ethereum Classic, STRAT, Lisk, EOS, Waves, and Chainlink blockchain platforms. For each platform, we have provided the project homepage, github page, technology used for the virtual machine, syntax used for programming the smart contract, market cap, daily volume, and date of creation.

Syntax-similar to C syntax

After a thorough investigation, we found that syntax in relation to computer programming referred to the set of rules that outline the structure and sequence of symbols within a computer language. Each computer language has its own set of rules or syntax. Since each computer language could have a lengthy list of syntax rules, we assumed that syntax, for the purpose of this research, pertained to the computer languages that the platform was based on or those that could be integrated into the programming of smart contracts for each blockchain platform. For example, Ethereum uses the high-level language, Solidity, for its virtual machine. Solidity is based on the syntax used by JavaScript. NEO uses Microsoft Intermediate Language. MSIL integrates the syntax of multiple computer languages such as C #, VB.Net, F #, Java, and Koltlin.

CONCLUSION

The attached spreadsheet contains the virtual machine technology, syntax, market cap, daily volume and creation date of the blockchains Ethereum, NEO, Ethereum Classic, STRAT, Lisk, EOS, Waves, and Chainlink.
