What are the biggest and best regarded social impact agencies out there?

There are social impact agencies with varying scope of projects and number of employees, our basis for size. Since you indicated that you wanted to know about agencies of various sizes, we included 5 big and 5 small agencies. The basis used for the size of the companies is the number of employees in each company. The agencies we found are Propper Daley, Global Strategy Group, Small Works, Hyperakt, Radish Lab, Hollister Creative, Emergency, SY Partners, Worldways, and Fearless Unlimited.

For each of the ten agencies, we included information on their philosophies, the size of their teams, and 6 major clients. For some agencies, information on the size of the team was unavailable. Pricing information for all the agencies was also not discernible from available information. The size of the teams was gotten from corporate websites and publicly available data.

All social agencies have an overall goal of making the world a better place. They achieve this goal with different approaches, from curing Polio to raising social consciousness and awareness. Some agencies included in our list have offices outside the U.S.

The culture and values of this 20-year old agency play a major role in the way projects are executed. Eighty employees are listed on its website. This agency has a very comprehensive client list which includes Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation, Harvard University, Andrew Cuomo, Governor (NY), Sierra Club, and American Express.

Small Works partners with nonprofits, social ventures, and foundations in implementing building solutions for people and communities in need. The size of the team was not listed on the website and was not found from other sources. Some clients of Small Work include Concept Design for Breast Cancer Awareness Association, Otra Nation, Re-Build Schools, Jordan, and Re-Build Clinic Mogadishu, Somalia.

4. Emergence
Emergence, a global creative agency combines substance and storytelling in impacting communities. Six employees are listed on the website. Some significant clients are American Civil Liberties Union (ALCU), Upstart Co-Lab, Convergence, Empower Generation, mothers2mothers, and Humanitarian Data Exchange (HDX).

SY Partners impacts individuals, teams, and organizations with attributes needed to be agents of positive change in business and society. We did not find any detail on the size of the SY Partners team. Some of the major clients include AARP, American Express, Bloomberg, Citibank, Google, and Starbucks.

With over 1,000 social marketing engagements across health, the environment, and international development; Worldways pioneered the field of marketing social impact. According to Craft.co, Worldways has 16 employees. Some of Worldways's major clients are AIDS Prevention Program, California Healthcare Foundation, Colorado Health Service Corps, Kidsave: Finding Homes for Children, Rhode Island Department of Education, and The Tibet Fund.

Radish Lab is a creative agency committed to applying creative and technical solutions in telling stories of social change projects. Crunchbase lists 11 to 50 Radish Lab employees. Major clients of Radish Lab include The UN Foundation, Parachute Canada, The American Museum of Natural History, Eventbrite, Columbia University, and Promundo.

Fearless Unlimited's philosophy of social impact is through information and engagement of individuals. The Facebook page photo of this agency shows ten employees. Major clients include Fearless Unlimited include Twitter, Orgain, Rodale, Verizon, Vail Resorts and World Surf Association.

Hollister Creative's philosophy of social impact is through helping socially-conscious businesses and nonprofit organizations reach set goals and target audience. We did not find any data on the number of employees of Hollister Creative. The major clients of this Philadephia-based agency include Comcast, DesignPhiladelphia, Detroit News & Free Press, Drexel University College of Medicine, Ford Motor Company Fund and Vision 2020 / Women 100.

10. Hyperakt
Hyperakt is based in New York City. It is a social impact design agency that tells the stories of changemakers both offline and online. Hyperakt has a staff of 17 employees. Some of Hyperakt's major clients are iMentor, Spotify, Ford Foundation, Institute for New Economic Thinking, UNICEF, and Malala Fund and Brookings Institution.
