 1.  Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News, or GEN, refers to itself as "the premier biotech publication since its launch in 1981." The magazine offers both a regular print edition as well as website exclusives, focused on news and analysis in the world of genetic engineering and biotech. 

 2.  Nature Biotechnology, an offshoot of the magazine Nature, is a monthly publication dedicated to news and analysis on the science and business of biotech.  

 3. The Nature Biotechnology First Rounders podcast features "founders, financers and developers from biotech's past, present and future," offering another outlet for news and education in a more conversational format. 

 4. The Journal of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology is an academic publication "devoted to rapid publication of full-length research papers that leads to significant contribution in advancing knowledge in genetic engineering and biotechnology." As such, it's a great resource for current developments in the genetic and biotech fields, though obviously aimed at those with expertise in the subject.  

 5. Online Genetics Education Resources from the National Human Genome Research Institute is a great starting point for educational sites on genetics topics like biotech, DNA, genome analysis, and clinical practice. With links aimed at both novices and advanced students of the subject, this is a terrific source for learning more about genetics. 

 6. Trends in Biotechnology is another journal aimed at experts in the field, with its intended audience "scientists and engineers from the many disciplines of the applied biosciences." The journal focuses largely on the relationship between biotech and fields like molecular genetics, and highlights "what is new, significant and practicable."  

 7. Though a blog source, this list of 10 Great Books on Genetics offers another good round-up of educational resources, complete with descriptions of each book. The works here mostly provide overviews on the field of genetics or focus on topics like evolution or the role of genetics and biotech in an individual's life, but should provide another great starting point. 

 8. The University of Utah's Learn.Genetics Genetic Science Learning Center is an interactive tool to learn more about genetics, with sections on topics like variation and selection, pigeon breeding, and genetic science. 

 9. The Journal of Human Genetics is another academic publication dedicated to genetics and genomics research, though this one is based in the Asia-Pacific region, which may be of interest given your previous request regarding starting a business in Thailand and Singapore. Much of the journal's content prior to January 2016 is archived on its website, so while that aspect of content is not current, it should still provide a good selection of book reviews and studies that could serve as additional resources. 

 10. The International Journal of Biotechnology is a quarterly academic publication that focuses on "management and economics, as well as the political and social issues" of biotechnology and biotechnics.  

 11. Genetics, published since 1916 by the Genetics Society of America, makes its mission the advancement of knowledge about genetics. They focus on "high-quality, original research presenting novel findings bearing on genetics and genomics," and tout a quick editorial decision process -- 30 days -- which, while fully reviewed, can help to keep content cutting-edge. Article types include reviews, commentary, and historical features. 

 12. The website for biopharmaceutical company Amgen provides a good definition and outline of the nature of biotechnology, highlighting its role in pharmaceutical research and development.
