Research Strategy

To identify some marketing professionals who have said they'll be attending the B2BMX 2020 conference, we searched the conference's official website and social media accounts, including Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, as well as third party articles & blog posts about the conference. The research team was able to identify individuals through their comments on Twitter's #b2bmx campaign, which has been streaming as far back as November last year, and third party articles. These individuals included people in the marketing department at B2B companies or tech companies and excluded speakers at the conference, sponsors, or marketing professionals at marketing companies. We employed Rocketreach and Anymail finder to identify each professional's email address.

Research Strategy

We searched the social media platforms of the B2B Marketing Exchange, as well as the third-party articles & blog posts about B2BMX 2020. The research team was able to identify some individuals through their comments on Twitter's #b2bmx campaign, which has been running since November last year, and the third party articles, which were written by those who have previously attended the conference and were planning to re-attend this year. We assessed each individual, who retweeted or responded to the campaign, or wrote an article about the event, for their title and company, but found out that the majority were either marketing professionals in marketing firms, other professionals outside the marketing department, speakers at the conference, sponsors of the conference, or marketers already on the spreadsheet. (We used a list of the speakers and sponsors of the event for this assessment). Therefore, rather than present a list of marketing professionals at B2B firms or tech companies, explicitly confirming their attendance of B2BMX 2020, we provided a list of marketers who have previously attended the conference, expressing their satisfaction through the Testimonial page at B2BMX official website. The team speculate that because of this positive impact, they will likely attend this year's event, B2BMX 2020.
