RESEARCH STRATEGY

We started our research by looking for examples of business-to-business enterprise software that offer innovative platforms from a user experience perspective. We looked for this information in technology-oriented sources such as in Wired, PC Mag, Tech Crunch, Technavio, and similar sites; software review sites such as Reviews Online, Capterra, G2 Crowd, and others; business-related sources such as Forbes, Business Insider, and others; press release sources such as those from Cision, Newswire, and other relevant sources. Based on this search approach, we were able to find several B2B software examples that cater to large companies.
We then checked their features or user reviews to determine if they provide innovative platforms from a user experience perspective. Based on the software reviews that we found, the companies mentioned that they provide innovative platforms. However, the user reviews that we found were more general and not directly linked to how innovative the platforms of these companies are.
We then checked the client testimonies on these companies to determine if they somehow highlighted how innovative the platforms are. However, the client stories are focused on the overall characteristics of the platforms and how the companies' solutions helped the clients.
We then looked for any social media posts on Facebook, Twitter, and other sharing channels that the three companies are using to find out if their clients praised or commented on how innovative the companies' platforms are. However, there were a few posts and engagements with the company's products in these channels.
We then tried to find a substitute measure that can tie the user experience with how innovative the platform is. Based on this search, we found numeric review data on these companies in terms of experience and technology. Given the limited information on the users' reactions to the platform's level of innovation, we concluded that this perspective can be replaced by the scoring system that we found. As the three companies obtained high-tier scores in user experience and technology, we have inferred that the users are also satisfied with the advanced technology that the companies used to run their platforms.
The details of our findings for the companies chosen were all indicated in the section above.
