methodology

In order to locate information which would could be used to fulfill your request, we first began our research by looking for any preexisting insights which outline the cost per hour to clients for e-mail campaign management, social media management, social media strategy, monthly e-mail hosting, and the annual charge of marketing on specific social media channels, specifically within the Dallas area or Texas as a whole. In doing so, we searched exhaustively through industry reports, surveys, and trusted media sites. However, we were unable to locate information which directly provided all these data points, primarily because information that was specific to Dallas and/or Texas was lacking. Next, we broadened the scope of the research to analyze the U.S. as a whole. This research method provided us with some insights on monthly e-mail hosting and the annual cost of social media marketing broken down by platform.

Since much of the information you requested could not be found directly, specific to Dallas/Texas, we triangulated existing information to provide some estimates which help to answer your question. To do so, we focused on using Upwork, a freelancer network, to locate individuals working in these verticals. We choose to look at Upwork, because this website has a network of millions of freelancers around the world, and Upwork's search filters allowed us to search the verticals you noted while isolating the results to freelancers located in Texas. The results also directly presented how much each freelancer charges clients by the hour. We then used these figures to calculate an average for each vertical.

The reason why we have focused on freelancers for this part of the request, as opposed to agencies overall, is because the vast majority of agencies located in the Dallas area (and in general) do not publish their pricing information up front, but rather these companies give quotes to clients, which means this information is not publicly available.

With regard to Upwork, it is important to note that there were only a handful of freelancers which were applicable to be used for each vertical. For example, when we searched for social media management, Upwork showed the most relevant results first, and then further down supplemented with less relevant results, such as social media content creators. Therefore, we used our own best judgment to isolate candidates for our case studies who focus specifically on your requested verticals.
