AV Camera, Radar, & Lidar Pt. 2

APTIV is a key player in lidar, radar, and camera technologies. The requested information about the key players in lidar, radar, and camera technologies is included in the attached spreadsheet. Below are our research findings of the key players.

LIDAR, RADAR, AND CAMERA KEY PLAYERS

1. APTIV

APTIV is not a startup because it was founded in 1994. APTIV is currently working on technology the CSLP that centralizes and combines the input of radar weather does not affect, lidar that gives long-range info, with a camera that classifies objects.

2. INTEL

Intel is not a startup because it has existed as a company in 1968. Intel has produced autonomous vehicle camera, radar, and lidar technologies. The camera has a resolution of "hundred of million samples per second," the lidar sensor is employed to "detect objects and measure light pulses," and there are six radar units that give a "360-degree coverage around the vehicle".

CAMERA KEY PLAYERS

1. SONY

Sony is not a startup, it was founded in 1946. Sony produced its autonomous car camera: IMX324, in 2017. The IMX324 which costs $90, has a resolution of 7.42MP, equipped with low-light sensitivity, it can scan pedestrians in dark locations and road signs 160 meters away.

2. AMBARELLA

Ambarella is not a startup, it has existed since 2004, in 2018 it produced its “CVFlow architecture and a phalanx of 20 cameras powered by 16 of its CV1 image and vision processing SoCs

LIDAR KEY PLAYERS

1. AEVA

Aeva a California-based startup founded in 2017, produced a LIDAR in 2018, a 3D mapping technology that directly measures objects in a place, and maps out the distance, and the velocity of these objects relative to one another.

2. WAYMO

Waymo is not a startup, because it has been in existence since 2009. Waymo has put a lot of effort into developing a Lidar that will improve capability and reduce cost. In relation to this technology the company sued Uber in 2017, the trial began in 2018, and Waymo eventually settled. The company intends to sell its Lidar technology to companies outside the autonomous vehicle industry.

RADAR KEY PLAYER

1. RFISEE

Rfisee is a startup because it was founded in 2015. According to the company's website "Rfisee is developing the first 4D imaging-radar for autonomous vehicles." The radar sensor generates high-resolution imaging, real-time 3 D location, velocity, and the map of cars' surrounding objects.
