Are there any automatic design tools for shop planners to design a store floor plan.
There are 3 generative (AI/machine learning capable) design tools for floor plan and building layouts, Aditazz, Graphisoft and Bentley’s Building Design (AECOsim). All 3 software packages offer a complete set of tools to aid in the creation and management of simple and complex floor plans.
ADITAZZ
Aditazz offers a full application package for the design of a modern shop or office space. It includes a library with pre-built content to aid in initial planning steps. Existing plans and designs can also be included in the library to be incorporated into a final design, if so desired. The software is streamlined so that changes made are incorporated across an entire project, cutting down on repetitive processes.Errors are checked and corrected through digital matching in output and intent, aiding in code compliance throughout the design process. Aditazz offers generative design solutions for healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants, retail malls and shops and other complex infrastructures.
Aditazz was founded in 2010 by Deepak Aatresh (CEO and founder) and Zigmund Rubel (founder) Zach Sherry is the Director PMO and Dan Pittard is CEO. While the number of users of Aditazz is not available, the revenue for Aditazz is approximately $5 million.
GRAPHISOFT
Graphisoft offers a variety of software packages for the designing of efficient floor space and complete shop design. Their software incorporates Building Information Modeling (BIM) that is helpful in design planning, giving the user a 3-D view of what the finished layout will look like. A favorite tool in Graphisoft applications is Automatic Change Management. Input data is stored in a central location, and modifications made in the model are replicated in all other views. BIM software offers a variety of views including floor plans, elevations and sections. Graphisoft’s ARCHICAD 21 software also offers the added bonus of stair and rail design, allowing the user to turn any shape into a stairway, based on local standards.
Graphisoft was founded in 1982 and Viktor Várkonyi is the CEO. While the specific number of users of Graphisoft applications is unknown, the revenue for Graphisoft is $33.6 million.
BENTLEY’S BUILDING DESIGN
Bentley’s Building Design offers innovative software created to aid in the design of a building from start to finish. Bentley’s AECOsim software incorporates building information modeling (BIM) to give a 3-D view of floor plans as well as an unrestricted design environment, simulating buildings and floor plans for ease of design in an efficient manner. AECOsim also allows the user to evaluate building system performances to aid in the discovery of the optimum design choices. The user can also produce architectural documentation from the BIM model, making the creation of floor plans, elevations and sections an easy process.
Bentley Systems/Bentley’s Building Design was founded in 1984 by Greg Bentley, co-founder and CEO along with Keith A. Bentley, founder, EVP, CTO as well as Barry J. Bentley, Ph.D., EVP and founder. Raymond B. Bentley has been the director at Bentley since 2015. While the specific number of users of Bentley’s Building Design Software is unknown, the revenue for Bentley Systems is $625 million.
CONCLUSION
