RESEARCH STRATEGY
We obtained the 2013 numbers for businesses and 2011 numbers for real estate agents from the Real Estate Institute of Australia. The 2019 numbers were obtained from IBIS World. We calculated the current number of real estate businesses in the Australian Capital Territory using a CAGR calculator with the CAGR of 2.37% determined from the previous research. We then added it to the numbers for the other states calculated from the previous research to determine the total number of real estate businesses in Australia.
Similarly, we calculated the CAGR for the growth in the total number of real estate agents between 2011 and 2019. The current numbers of real estate agents for each Australian state including the Australian Capital Territory were then calculated using the CAGR. The numbers were added together to obtain the total number of real estate agents in Australia.
