Narendra Modi, Satya Nadella, Steve Wozniak, Narayana Murthy, Andy Jassy, and Steven Mnuchin have previously made statements that imply that artificial intelligence will result in job creation. Conversely, Elon Musk, Stephen Hawking, Warren Buffett, Chris Hughes, Sam Altman, Jack Dorsey, and Mark Cuban made statements that indicate they think artificial intelligence will destroy jobs. In 2017, Andy Jassy, the CEO of Amazon Web Services said “There is a lot of talk that AI will take away jobs. But we believe it will create jobs. There is so much work we do in technology that we are not really able to fill a lot of these new roles that we are creating.”

Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella stated that "Even in a runaway artificial intelligence (AI) scenario, robots will not render people completely jobless."
