Additional Smart Tech- Safety

Technologies that are currently available to assist persons with disabilities include stove guards, smart home technology, GPS tracking devices, artificial intelligence and activity-based trackers.

TECHNOLOGIES TO ASSIST PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

I searched for articles that specifically discussed technology that is designed or being used to improve safety for disabled individuals. Many of the articles included topics previously in the spreadsheet, so I ruled those out. I was able to select the five technologies of: stove guards, smart home technology, GPS tracking devices, artificial intelligence and activity-based trackers. I have added each of these technologies into the safety tab of the spreadsheet provided, along with a description of how the technology works, companies who make that technology specifically to aid those with disabilities, and evidence to explain exactly how the technology assists people with disabilities.

CONCLUSION

To sum up, I have found that stove guards, smart home technology, GPS tracking devices, artificial intelligence and activity-based trackers are technologies that are currently available to assist persons with disabilities.
