The list of corporate retailers we reviewed in the course of our original research includes Amazon, Best Buy, Overstock, Gazelle, Target, Walmart, Brandsmart USA, Bang Good, New Egg, and Swappa.

Best Buy and Target offer activation on all of the four major networks. Walmart is able to activate plans on Sprint and AT&T. Amazon, New Egg, and Overstock all offer locked phones from at least three of the four major carriers, in addition to offering unlocked phones that can be activated to any carrier. These were the companies we found during the course of the original research that can either activate plans on all or some of the four major carriers, or offer locked smartphones from all or some of the four major carriers. Amazon is one of the leading online platforms that offers a large selection of goods including smartphones. Amazon's smartphone offering is huge and the company offers smartphone from several manufacturers such as Apple, Samsung, LG, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Sanyo, and others.
Amazon offers unlocked phones that can be activated on any carrier. They also offer locked smartphones from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T mobile. In addition, customers can purchase online activation sim kits for any of the 4 major carriers on its platform.

Best Buy

Best Buy is an online consumer electronics retailer that offers a large selection of goods, including smartphones from various manufacturers. The company can activate plans on Sprint, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. It also offers unlocked phones and as well as locked carrier phones from the four major carriers and others.

Walmart

Walmart is a leading retail corporation in the US with chains of departmental stores, hypermarket, grocery stores and others. The company also operates an online store in addition to its multiple brick and mortar location in the US and offers smartphones from various manufacturers. Walmart offers unlocked smartphones that can be activated with any carrier as well as locked carrier smartphones from several carriers including the big four. The company can activate plans on Sprint and AT&T.

Target

Target is another retail giant we reviewed that offers smartphones from various manufacturers. The company offers unlocked smartphones and are able to activate the smartphones to Sprint, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. They also offer locked smartphones from several carriers including the four major carriers.

Brandsmart USA

Brandsmart USA is one of the leading Consumer Electronics and Appliance Retailer in the US. The company has a growing online store and offers a wide variety of smartphones from different manufacturers. It offers unlocked smartphones that can be activated with any carrier in the US, however, the company only offers AT&T locked smartphones.

Bang Good

Bang Good offers products such as Apple accessories, smartphones, electronics, RC toys, LED lights, clothing, beauty products, jewelry, watches, and more.In terms of its smartphone offerings, the company only offers unlocked smartphones.

Gazelle

Gazelle is another retailer we reviewed that offers smartphones, however, the company only offers used smartphones. Gazelle offers a platform that enables individuals to buy and trade-in smartphones and other electronic devices. There are used smartphones on Gazelle on offer with various carriers, including the big four. Used unlocked smartphones are also on offer.

Swappa

Swappa is similar to Gazelle. The company offers a huge selection of used electronics including smartphones. They have used unlocked smartphones as well as used locked smartphones from the four major carriers in the US.

NEW EGG

New Egg is an online retailer that offers hardware, hard drives, cameras and software as well as electronics, tools, appliances, sporting goods, jewelry, watches, gaming and others. The company also offers unlocked smartphones and a selection of No Contract & Prepaid smartphones from various carriers including AT&T and Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile.

Overstock

In general, the retailers reviewed all offer unlocked smartphones that can easily be activated to any carrier, although most don't offer the activation themselves. The major retailers which include Best Buy, Walmart, and Target all offer activation to the 4 major carriers. Amazon offers unlocked phones as well as carrier phones from all the big four carriers. New Egg offers no-contract prepaid smartphones from the big 4 carriers and also offers a small selection of locked smartphones from each of the major carrier. Overstock offers locked smartphones from At&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. The other retailers we reviewed only offer used smartphones which may be unlocked or locked with a carrier plan.

To wrap, the corporate retailers we reviewed include Amazon, Best Buy, Overstock, New Egg, Gazelle, Swappa, Bang Good, Brandsmart USA, Target and Walmart.
