What accelerated (e.g.,12-month) or fast-track online degrees are available at the associate's, bachelor's, and master’s levels through a highly accredited university or community college?
Hello! Thank you for using Wonder to ask about accelerated or fast-track online degrees at the associate's, bachelor's, and master's levels. The short answer is that there are many highly accredited universities and community colleges that offer such programs. I organized my findings into an attached spreadsheet.
METHODOLOGY
I looked through various lists of accelerated degree programs, specifically the ones that prioritized their accreditation. With each promising finding, I checked the institution's site for accreditation and a detailed list of fast-track programs. I also performed additional searches, to find unmentioned course offers. Since many of the universities and colleges have accelerated programs at different levels, I organized them by the name of the institution. I decided that the spreadsheet will be the most convenient way to present my findings.
It includes the name of the institution, the level of the degree, accelerated programs, time required to complete, acceleration requirements, accreditation, program accreditations, sources and additional notes.
If there were many program accreditations, I included a link instead of mentioning them all.
Not all the programs I chose are accelerated by default. I decided to include those that have some requirements or flexible completion schedules to ensure that you will be presented with the most valuable options by highly accredited institutions.
OVERVIEW
My research shows that the most popular accelerated programs include Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Information Technology and Accounting. However, the offer is wide, in terms of both the areas covered and studying schedules.
Also, it favors those who already have some college experience, as those will be able to transfer their credits. Prestigious, accredited institutions prefer to have students earn credits for a faster degree, rather than pack the course with more hours in a shorter time frame by default.
Additionally, the best online programs are not only offered by regionally accredited institutions but also have a specific accreditation, i.e., the one issued by Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
CONCLUSION
To wrap it up, there are many possibilities to earn a degree online through a highly accredited institution. My detailed findings are on the attached spreadsheet.
